Cubs Trivia:

Which Cubs reliever has the strike outs in a single season? What year did he do it? How many did he strike out that season?
Please don't feed the psychos.

I looked it up... in 2010 Marmol had 138 Ks in just 77 2/3 innings. PS: only 52 walks.

Sutter's best with the Cubs was 129 Ks in 107.1 innings
Smith's best with the Cubs was 112 in 97.2

I always thought the point of this was to not look it up.

Well you guys had everything right except the number without looking up, so I'll call that good enough.

I was going to make a joke about Zambrano being the leader when he started for part of the year, and pitched fromt he pen the rest, but he didn't even get close.

Sorry, I jumped the gun on this one. I was thinking the guessing was over. Need to finish my first cup of coffee from now on.

Not a problem. Didn't know if you knew the rules or not.

Which Cubs reliever has the strike outs in a single season?

I wanna know how all you people started guessing -- correctly! -- based on Phil's non-question.

Edit: I mean, the missing word *could* have been "fewest"...

Now that is funny. I didn't even notice that "most" was left out.

Is it? I thought the question was just asking which Cub had them. You know, the strikeouts. One of those damn relievers has just been hoarding them.
