Some teasers have been released :
From Epstein: “They (sox owners and business ops?) told us we didn’t have any marketable players, that we needed some sizzle. We need some sexy guys. Talk about the tail wagging the dog. This is like an absurdist comedy. We’d become too big. It was the farthest thing from what we set out to be.”

The book may shed some more light on (or reinforce what we know about) Theo's thought process.

The book isn't out yet, so excerpts are selected by publisher (who may have also assembled this unholy alliance of Tito and the collaborator on this book) to incite.

I'll read the book, but I'll probably steal it to avoid enriching Tito's co-author. (Why couldn't this have been Edes or someone else we trust more?)

"It was interesting to learn that Epstein hired two 'outside consultants' to put together proposed lineups for Francona every day...Francona never met them and he wasn't mandated to use their lineups. But at one point Francona told Epstein he had enough of the suggestions and to keep them to himself."

One of the "consultants" was Eric Van of SOSH! (I think that was my first use of an exclamation point outside of a game thread.)

Prediction: Cubbie Blues of BN hired by Cubs to make lineup suggestions daily for Dale. (Now I'm first on this, too, CB.)
