Cubs Trivia:

How many times in Ernie Bank's 19 year career did he finish in the top 10 of Natonal League MVP voting?

I'll be darned.

I recall when Banks was asked what he thought when he saw his HRs leave the park. He answered that he had never seen one leave the park, that he just put his head down and ran, and the first base coach would let him know if it was a HR. Contrast that with the antics of today's players. Banks was a class act 100 percent of the time.

Yep, and he still is.
