Fox sports’ baseball analyst – you know, that guy with all kinds of access but who is rarely right – Ken Rosenthal was on “Sports Central” last night on WGN radio to discuss, among other things, the Chicago Cubs recent moves and prospective moves.
Though he talked at length about the Mark DeRosa trade and Milton Bradley signing, Cubs fans likely are most interested in his thoughts on the Cubs’ chances of landing San Diego star pitcher Jake Peavy.
Unfortunately, citing the ownership changes in San Diego – and despite Moorad’s statements that he will have no impact on personnel decisions – Rosenthal said the Padres were unlikely to move Peavy. He gives the Cubs a paltry 10% chance of landing Peavy.
Ugh. Let’s hope he’s as right about this as most things…
