It’s National Hug Day, today!
Be sure to hug anyone and everyone you see – even strangers! Apparently, the law states that you can hug anyone you want today – even without permission – so long as you sufficiently surprise them and catch them off guard (I’ve found that hiding behind large bushes or in dark alleys works best).
Good luck!

But remember, it’s about quality, not quantity … Unless you’re former Cubs catcher John Baker (who just had a birthday!) and Cubs closer Hector Rondon … then it’s about both:
I recently reached out to John Baker for some comments about his clearly dawww-worthy relationship with Rondon, and he didn’t disappoint.

“I love Hector Rondon for his humility, his sense of humor and his passion and drive to be a winning baseball player,” said Baker. “He is the consummate teammate, always rooting hard for the success of his brothers. Our friendship transcended any perceived cultural barriers, we weren’t American or Venezuelan, when we were Cubs, we were family.”
And finally, on this, the holiest of holidays, National Hug Day, I present to you my second favorite picture of a battery all-time:
