It actually seems kinda neat and I might try to convice the other to do it in our kitchen (since it needs a new floor).

I have seen bar tops made with them. It actually looks pretty cool.

Yeah, I agree Tommy. It would seem to be cool for a day or a week or something, then you would ask why the hell you spent money on something you could have made. And yeah, it would probably look stupid after a while. I think these things are really meant for bars and restaurants only.

The ones I've seen we're generally home made. Costs $2.56 a square foot plus glue, grout and resin.

Ya, unless you make some sort of pattern that would look "normal" during every day use, it'd probably get old quick.
