Week 1 Spring Training Recap

1. Javier Baez - Last weeks top Cubs prospect has completely fallen off the charts after 2 bad games. A former top pick to supplant Castro off SS is now just good enough to get a poor-man's Tony Campana back in trade.
2. Jorge Soler - After a blast in the opening game this prospect has rocketed up prospect charts and is now slated for an Opening Day start in RF. Projections on the low side for his 2013 season include 50 home runs and batting .400.
3. Starlin Castro - The poster child for ADHD is slated to be the starting 3B Since he commits 900 errors a season at SS. After the Cubs FO passed up on the hundreds of All-Star caliber 3B that were banging on the front doors of Wrigley they were left with no choice.
4. Darwin Barney - starting SS since he is just so awesome. Maybe this is finally the year where his showing up to camp in the best shape of his life finally results in a decent OBP.
5. Brett Jackson - Washed up former hobo. Sveum was dumb enough to try and get Jackson to use Rizzo's swing took this former top prospect from HoF to worst player ever. Only had contact issues after this swing change.
6. Cubs records - Projections on this range from no fewer than 85 wins to 77 wins. Anything outside of this range is "sipping the kool-aid" or "krazybuckets". One thing to note; however, is that the Cubs won't be able to contend for the NL Central until, at least, 2016 or 2017.

I want to scream, but that would be weird since I'm the only one here.

3 and 4 above: yes - this conversation on the front page is frustrating to read. I seriously don't understand how some people think on some of this stuff. We don't feel like we have a 3rd baseman, so shift everyone left one spot and look for a 2nd baseman now? WHA? How does this solve any problem(s) at all?

I wonder how many comments would be wasted on Barney if we sign Cano next year?
