hansman1982: A poster to this website that should be taken as seriously as BertMan. Everything that he says is neither short nor informative but should be taken as gospel. Also see, Village Idiot and/or Batman

BertMan: See Brett, Ace, AceCubbie, #BagOfFeminieHygieneProduct, synonymous to Captain Planet

Katie: hansman1982's BN love. Her ability to have a picture taken where she is smoking, drinking a crappy beer and wearing Cubs gear while at Wrigley is the stuff of legends in the hansman1982 cave.

My Wife: a woman who is insanely jealous at Katie

DieHard: The Joker to hansman1982's Batman

Ahhhhh. Now I get the cookie deal. Great list. It doesn't take long to ignore diehard. More like blowhard. Way to go to Hawkeye for starting this.

Crype: (invented by Oswego Chris) term created to sum up the majority of players drafted by the Cubs before 2011.

The Garza Deal: trade done before the 2011 season in which some believe that the Cubs quite literally "sold the farm".

"Tiresome": the perfect way to explain (and hopefully dismiss) some of the arguing-for-the-sake-of-arguing back-and-forth that has developed recently on the front page comments. Agree, disagree, agree to disagree, whatever. But to keep pressing your point over and over only to be "right", to say "I told you so"? Yawn, man. State your peace and move on. This ain't the comments list at cubs.com.

Oh, THERE's my soapbox!

Preach on brother TWC! I've been contemplating posting similar comment or start a new thread about how we can help to stop this recent "arguing" disquised as discussion. Lately some virgins have been making me wish diehard was commenting more... and thats not good

The problem with growth. I'm happy for Brett/Ace/Duffman, but these are the growing pains.

Indeed. At these transitional points, I can only hope that my own efforts and the efforts of a certain core group of users will demonstrate the best modes of discourse. It's almost impossible to successfully change behaviors with a heavy fist. We just have to continue to be the example of how to do things.

So now is not the time for bold changes?

How about the Airing of Grievences?

Cage fights?

I say we rent an octagon and some metal fencing and let people duke it out. 2 man enter, one man leave. Thought ought to settle some things.

a suggestion for addition to the BN Lexicon

Zambrano'd: A word used when the continuation of a debate is no longer fruitful for either party because all facts have been laid out and the debate is becoming less and less effective despite the time cost of the debate increasing. See also: Agree to Disagree

I heard that Brett is looking to have someone do a 24 hour (possibly longer) blog-a-thon of the Airing of Grievences and Feats of Strength...

He was last heard muttering "I gotta lot of problems with you people."
