Aw, yes: another baseball season means another set of chances to win free money playing one-day fantasy baseball contests. Bleacher Nation is partnering with DraftStreet.com to hook you up with some fun games this year. This week, there are TWO contests going on – one is free, and one is paid (for the ballsier/greedier among you).
FREE CONTEST – $500 PRIZE POOL
By performing the simple task of signing up, you (1) give yourself a chance to win part of the $500 prize pool on Monday, March 31 (Opening Day), (2) guarantee that you’ll have some fun next Monday, and (3) support your friendly neighborhood hang-out, Bleacher Nation. These promotions help keep BN free for you to read and use, so your participation is appreciated.
Flashing Lights:Â Sign Up Here.
For those who haven’t done these contests before, they’re simple and fun: you have $100,000 to spend on your roster, selecting players from Monday’s MLB games. Want Mike Trout? No problem, but he’s gonna take up a big chunk of that $100,000 salary cap. There’s absolutely nothing to lose and it takes 5 minutes to build a team. You can adjust your roster up until the contest starts on Monday, March 31 at 12pm CT, at which time your rosters will lock and the Live Scoreboard will be available.
The best part of this *free* contest is the chance to win some money that you can put to use on other DraftStreet games. There’s $500 on the line, and the winner gets $109. There are 50 prizes altogether, so a lot of you are gonna win something.
PAID CONTEST – $20,000 PRIZE POOL (yes, you read that correctly)
Everything for the paid contest is the same – same Opening Day, same roster construction, same fun – but the ante is upped with a $20,000 prize pool. The contest costs $11 to enter (they gotta make money somehow, right?), and the overall winner gets $3000. The top 300 people will win cash. To keep the chances good that you can win something, this contest is limited to 2000 total entries (and 25 max entries per player) – so the odds of winning something are pretty good. Based on past experience, this contest will fill up over the course of this week, so get your entries in if you want to play in this one.
So, sign up here for the $20,000 contest. Let’s have some Opening Day fun.
*Note:Â residents of some States are not eligible to play, so if you’re blocked out for that reason, my most humble apologies.
