So fuck the Pirates.

And fuck all the rest of the teams, too.

Extra special shout out to fuckwads Lillibridge (0-3, 3K) and Valbuena (0-4, 2K).

But the Gameday Thread Fuckwad of the Game award goes to Carlos Marmol.
'Cause he's a fuckwad.

Couldn't have said it better my own dammed self

I wonder how bad the medicals were on the trade that wasn't to not be able to live with over what Marmol does on the bump?

Whatever it was the result was the worst case of acid reflux for all Cubs fans.

I'm guessing Haren must've flat-lined during the exam.

WHERE'S THE EBS

It's Spring Training for me on the EBS. Though I'd like to say that I had it up within about 5-10 minutes of the final out, WITH way more exposition than I usually have.

If the Cubs win today, it will be the first time they've won the first two games of the season since doing it in 1995 (a strike shortened season) in which they won their first 4 games! They ended up going 73-71 that year, and one statistic of note was Randy Myers leading the league with 38 saves. We also missed the Wild Card by 4 games to the Rockies.

Hate to break it to you, Tommy, but there is absolutely ZERO chance that the Cubs win today.

Zero.

I'm sure that even DocWimsey would back up my statistical prediction on that.

At least we won't lose.

I can't guarantee that. It's still the Cubs.
