I get your point on judging a player's motivation, I hate when the media does it to Jay Cutler every chance it gets ...

Precisely. A perfect example.

... but Castro has a history of losing interest ....

Based on what? His numbers are almost exactly the same from a tie score to being behind by 1, 2, 3, or 4 runs. I just don't think the numbers back up this feeling.

It’s my anniversary and the wife just got home. This game better hurry up so I don’t get in trouble.

I think it's safe to say that you can walk away from this one.

It's safe to walk away from this one he says. ::glares::

Yeah I don't need numbers to read body language it's something a lot of mammals can do, sometimes the guy doesn't look like he's all there. That AB looked like one of those instances in my opinion. He was walking around the plate lethargically during the AB and he whiffed at two pitches in the dirt. Like I said, I can understand why you don't like making body language a thing since there are no numbers or science that can back it up, but I don't think it's something that's smart to just ignore. And I can't blame him that much, I'm certainly not all there mentally for work 100% of the time, but sadly I also don't make millions of dollars a year doing my job.

Per MLB gameday: Jim Henderson is trying to tie up Starlin Castro with fastballs inside; Castro is hitting .000 on pitches in that location compared to .207 overall.
