In 4 days, the film "42" has it's opening. I just found out today from the Swedish Film Board that "42" wil not be coming to Sweden. I've seen som trailers for the film, it looks to be a great film. I'd really like to hear from you who go and see the movie. I have read that it may come out on Bluray/DVD as early as September. If any of you see it out in disc form, let me know who has it, maybe they do international shipping.
Baseball exists here in Sweden, but it's under the radar. The local club here in Eskilstuna went under 2 years ago. But elsewhere, it's doing well. Here's the link for the Swedish Baseball/Softball Federation. If you paste it into Google Translate, you'll get it in English. They do a great job and they are always swimming upstream, but they just don't quit. Kinda makes ya proud to see how these people love Baseball!

I was a little disappointed that in the large cast listing for this movie, there is no Duke Snider, no Roy Campanella, no Gil Hodges.
