Jake Arrieta wasn’t quite as dominant as he’s been recently, but it turns out that not-quite-as-dominant Arrieta is still any-other-pitcher dominant. He and the Cubs’ bullpen mostly held the Nationals down today, but the offense could muster just one run, which wasn’t enough. They had plenty of chances.
No one told Justin Ruggiano that the offense was supposed to lay down after the big trade, though.
