The Non-Waiver Trade Deadline is tomorrow afternoon, which means tonight’s game is the last #HugWatch for a full game. (The first hour and change of tomorrow’s game will be before the deadline expires, so there will be a little bit of #HugWatch early tomorrow, too.)
We know that there’s a chance Emilio Bonifacio could be on the way out of town – maybe even before the game starts – but we’ll see what happens.
As for the game, itself, Travis Wood is looking for a good start, and the Cubs’ bullpen is looking for a long start after last night’s marathon. Chris Rusin will be here to help, but still. Six or seven innings from Wood would go a long way.
A win tonight and the Cubs will have won this four-game series.
