...the 2012 Bleachernation.com meet and greet on opening day next year. I think it would be bad ass to get a bleachernation.com sign and get everyone to sit in the bleachers. This could be brilliant...or someone could die.

I might be down for that, my brother has season tickets so I could try and bribe him to get those tickets... I do have some dirt on my little brother ;)

Nice. I have friends that live in Wrigleyville and have made opening day this season and made it to the home opener last season, so im trying to make it something I do ever year. I think it could be fun. We could plan a bar crawl and go from there.

I'm in if MG gives me tickets. We can all crash at my old house a couple of blocks away. The new owner shouldn't mind.

"Duuuuude! I used to liiiiiiiive here!"

If you buy the beer I might be able to convince my brother to give me both tickets.

im in for this. i've never been to opening day at wrigley... its gotta be one of the hardest tickets to get... ill do my best. the flight alone makes it a pretty pricey event but i'm sure it'll be worth it.

if we want to make it more likely that everyone can make it, we could sacrifice the craziness of opening day and just pick like the 2nd game of the first cards series or something... just sayin'

If we get serious about this, as the offseason wears on, I can start publicizing it a bit more.

But, yeah, for most people, getting Opening Day tickets, considering the optimism/restlessness, is probably going to be tough.

So would we all just get a banner? Or each of us hold and individual letter? Or would we go all out and get one of those flags/banners and deck it out with Bleachernation.com and a catchphrase?

Gentleman, it really wouldnt be hard. It really isnt that hard, especially if you have a mastercard debit or credit card. They do a pre sell for mastercard owners a week in advance. I was able to purchase the tickets with no problems.

If enough people being to show interest in the future, then Ill help keep a look out for advance tickets sales.

I was just thinking if you get the idea in enough people's heads, then people can start saving in advance.

No better feeling than getting up early as hell, going to Murphey's for jager bombs and then standing in line for the bleachers.

I've no interest in jäger bombs (that ship has sailed), and opening day would be tough to get a group together, but I could see us planning a rooftop party in the future. The problem is always going to be cost (some of us in Michigan have felt the deteriorating economy quite harshly), but with enough people i hear getting a rooftop can be rather affordable.

And for some others, returning to Chicago is like pulling teeth. Big teeth.
