I can’t tell you much about tonight’s Cubs game, because I didn’t see it. I was at the Under Armour All-American Game at Wrigley Field watching some of the young guys we’ll be talking about next April/May/June. It’s a really fun event, by the way, if you’re considering going in the future – not only do you get to see some of the top high school players (and a home run derby!), you get to sit as close to the field as you can find seats when the doors open. That’s a pretty cool bonus for a game at Wrigley Field.
As for Cubs/Mets, I’m told Dan Straily had a mixed night, struggling in a couple innings in particular. I’ll have to review the tape, so to speak. At least the Cubs brought down their strikeout total for the game to a mere 10.
