As the lone impact, sure-thing prospect in the draft, the Browns always would have been crazy to pass on Garrett.
As the article notes, the Browns are still looking to trade up from number 12 to have a shot at drafting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Depending on how the 49ers’ plans shake out with pick number two, the Bears could be an option for a trade down scenario at three.
