Tradition is just that. People are way too in love with that park. Ozzie was the only one who told it like it is. Rat infested. Ricketts can do nothing but improve the park. Was going to Cub games since I was 8. Remember sitting in the bleachers in the 50's. $4.50 admission and what felt like we were the only ones in the area. Might have been 5500 in the park. Cub teams that didn't belong in MLB. Always had fun.By this era, I'm referring to the big financial boon post '94 strike. They've been up and down but more successful seasons than many in the league in my lifetime, and this era of baseball.Cubs have sucked long before Garza arrived. Remembering going to games and ushers pushed you down into the boxes to make crowds look bigger for TV.
As I watch another base hit off Jackson, and subsequent poor pick-off attempt, in another blah performance; I can't help but be more annoyed with Garza. I remember him talking about how he convinced Edwin to sign with the Cubs... I know that I'm attaching too many bad memories with Garza because the Cubs have sucked since he arrived... but everything my mind attaches to that dude points to dead weight. #overreacting #blogging
Much respect to you, sir. I think the lack of lights due to WWII needs had a lot to do with that, as the Cubs were left behind the rest of the league. Obviously, traditionalists have exacerbated the Cubs financially flexibility, and still do to this day. Must keep day games. Must keep WGN. No Jumbotron, etc.
That said, I'm very excited to see the renovated Wrigley. Good talk, rcleven. I got a lot of respect for a Cub fan dating back to the 50's and blogging. Frickin awesome!

It's nice to see Baez heat up on offense, but his defense has been pretty bad. I've been checking the box scores and see he has an error almost every night. He is up to 12 now.
Cates had a good game today too. 6 innings of no hit ball. 7 K's no walks.
