Nice glove by Cabrera but horrific throw. Bounced halfway in-between 1st and 2nd.

Soriano has been absolutely awful with runners in scoring position. 2 RBI's in an entire month for your cleanup hitter. That's just unacceptable.

I saw an interesting stat that Rizzo is .314 vs. lefties and .188 vs. righties.  I know it is early and that will change a lot, but it is interesting none the less.

Wood is cruising.  Time to get some runs.

It is currently .318 vs .182

or

wRC+ 96 vs 190

Why can we never seem to score with for T. Wood!?!?! We've been averaging 6 runs a game this series, and yet we can't catch a break with RISP... pretty frustrating for Wood, i'm sure, although he'd probably never put it that way

If there is ever a situation that we need to pop out to 2nd, put Hairston in the game.

Cubs have left 5 on base today and are 0-5 with RISP.

At this rate Wood may go 10 innings.

Two great back to back plays by Castro and Rizzo. I hope to see that Rizzo play on SC top ten or at least baseball tonight web gems.

I know it is way too early to say this but I wonder when the last time the Cubs had back to back complete games by their starters.

I'm wondering if this is becoming a distinct possibility now! That would be fucking awesome. Even with an aenemic offense, i'm still enjoying the hell out of this game!

Hairston!  Forgive me for everything I've said about you today.
