Lets pretend for a moment that the Cubs had the budget of lets say the Yankees. Who would you want them to sign/Trade for? Or more simply put what would your dream team for the Cubs in 2012...

Hmm, if we're really dreaming ...
I like your lineup, though Cespedes might need a little time in the minors to confirm he's ready. In the rotation, I'd rather see Wilson over Buehrle (again, this is all a bit dreamy), and a deal for someone like James Shields.
That would be one hell of a lineup and one hell of a rotation. Of course, the team would cost $200 million and the farm system would be literally empty. But, dream team, indeed.

I like Buehrle over Wilson for 2 reasons: (1) Buehrle has been pretty consistent the past couple of years (last season he was 13-9 with a 3.59ERA) and (2) Wilson has been pitching for one of the best offensive teams in baseball the past few seasons and I think that may have something to do with his success. But thats just like my opinion lol. But on a more realistic note, do you think that there is any chance of the Cubs actually acquiring Hanley Ramirez (if the Marlins get Reyes)?

I wanted to keep mine somewhat realistic. I was talking about including players that were FAs and trade block. And I think LeMaheu and LaHair could potentially start. They both tore it up in the minors and they looked good when they got a chance to play on the MLB team
