He filled in for JD on WGN last night while he was attending his daughter's graduation.  Was anybody else impressed with his commentating last night?  He was really prepared, affable, and knowledgeable about what he was talking about along with having a good rapport with Kasper.  Apparently he's doing pregame on CSN, but I think he'd be a fantastic replacement for Keith Moreland on the radio to go along with Pat Hughes.  What did other people think about his job last night?

I found myself thinking several times last night that he was a tool. But, yes he seemed prepared.

To be honest I haven't watched DeShaies enough, but I think he is good...anybody who can make a Chico Esquella reference when playing the Mets is okay by me...

I like Todd a lot.  I think he does a real good job on the post game.  I didn't see/hear him last night as I was painfully stuck with the LA guys.  But the times he has done play by play for the Cubs - I thought he just needed more practice at it.  Talked a little too much, but probably just cuz he's trying too hard to make an impression.  He was light years better than Plesac when Brenly took time off.

I think he did a good job. I think he's definitely better than Moreland. I'm starting to not like JD very much.

I don't think JD and Len have established very good chemistry but I only have WGN so my sample size is small

WGN radio with Moreland?  I've heard plenty of that and

I wonder if Th's responsibility to the MLB channel both on TV and radio would prevent him from being a regular color person for the Cubs.  Pre/Post game wouldn't require travel and would allow him to fulfill his contract with his other "employer".

If any of you think Hollandsworth is a lousy commentator, I implore you to turn on WGN radio and listen to the broadcasting duo of Keith Moreland and the random jabroni filling in for Pat Hughes it's like listening to paint dry.

He's decent, but needs a lot more practice.

Todd does a really good job on the morning show on MLBN radio. He was really bad at first, but has really improved. He's still a Cubs' homer though lol.
