Btw that Jimmy not Timmy FWIW

Just let him go, he's on a roll.
I guess I don't know my South Park well enough. I haven't watched it in 10+ years.
I still enjoy it the new Black Friday / GoT episodes are promising
South Park is one of my favorite shows on the air.  9 times out of 10 they do a masterful job of taking a current event, making an interesting story out of it and providing a little something to think about.
Well, that and butt faces.

For my money, "Scott Tenorman Must Die" is their masterpiece.

That is an excellent one.

But Woodland Critter Christmas and the one where Cartman becomes a teacher might be slightly higher on my rankings.

Sorry, but, Christmas Poo is the hands down winner in my book (granted I as I already stated, I haven't seen the show in many years).

I think I've seen one episode of South Park in my life.  Probably … hrm … fall 1997?  Has the show been on for that long?

Yes, with some mild variations in quality along the way. If you've got 20 minutes to kill, check out The Biggest Douche in the Universe. It's another of their very finest. If you're not into that one, I think you can safely conclude that you haven't missed anything in the last 16 years.

P.S. Stick around till the John Edwards bashing kicks in.

The early years aren't much.  Back then it was mainly a show where cussing kids was novelty shock value.

Then they started in on the satirical stuff.

And then they got good at the satirical stuff.

They still have their misses, but when those guys are on they are among the best satirists of this generation.  In that regard, with acknowledgements to the wildly different styles and genres, they are on the stage with Terry Pratchett.

Agreed Trey Parker and Matt Stone deserve all the accolades they get and even some he doesn't get. His continuous desire to tell Hollywood "Fuck You" is flawless. He's also quite close to getting the all allusive EGOT and if it wasn't for Phil Collins they would have already have won it. There are so many episodes worth watching I could begin to even list my top ten.
