It's early in trade season, but the Tigers are already very hungry for some BP help. Could a Gregg/Villanueva trade potentially net the Cubs someone like Casey Crosby plus PTBN? Or is that value swap unbalanced?

I don't think Crosby is enough, he is 24 and hasn't shown much improvement.

The Cubs could definitely net a decent prospect for that pair.

Me too.  I know he's pretty highly regarded, but I have seen him a few times and am not impressed.  Plus he's got a history of arm problems.

Arm problems? Why haven't the Cubs acquired him already then?

I tend to over-value our own players in these ideas so I was going for the opposite here... guess a little too much.

No one else in the Tigers' Top 20 Prospects leaps out at me as a great return, as I believe they aren't willing to give up Castellanos or Rondon. Anyone have a good pulse on their farm system?

What about Salazar from Cleveland? With Perez out who knows how long, they could be looking for bullpen help and sure they could use another starter

I like Tyler Collins (AA OF) a decent amount and Austin Schotts is really really fast. Pitching wise the only guy that I see on the BA top 10 that will be a SP is Jake Thompson. If anything I think the Cubs should shoot for Porcello/Smyly
