The man just doesn't look like himself.  I know he is in a slump (hopefully a temporary thing) and I am not saying to press the panic button yet.  I am simply asking what people's theories are on this.  Humor is appreciated here. :D

Sunflower seeds.  That seems to be the opinion that I hear the most about his struggles.  He's too busy with all of the sunflower seeds he's got in his mouth to worry about his game.

Die hard said a couple days ago it's because they're paying him to be a .250 hitter and if he had been paid more he would be hitting better.

He also thinks Dale is coddling him and if Quade were here he'd be back at an all star caliber

Real answer: Struggling to adjust to the approach Theo and Jed want him to have

Non-real answer: Die Hard knows best

Svuck told him to make his teammates look better and this is his solution.

He is scuffling because the Cubs just drafted a shortstop and he is to busy looking over his shoulder.   Doubly bad, because he should be moved to center and they drafted one of them too.

Blah blah blah (real answer)

Rob deer and his .197 batting agerage is one of the hitting coaches.
They haven't yet built the Jumbotron and Castro adjusted thinking they would have built it
It's part of Theos plan to get Castro's contract voided so they can pay him less.
Castro's got baby momma drama that he's bringing on the field

Interesting thing that may not be relevant

During his age 22 and 23 seasons, Barney committed 21 and 25 errors at AA and AAA.

I wonder how many were throwing errors which explains why he was moved to 2B in the majors.

Hi,

Perhaps after his rape charge he is cautious and he suffers from jack-off fatigue!

It's clearly the 35 pounds that he's put on since his rookie year.
