Valbuena leadoff?   Well.  Dale is showing he's a betting man.......and Valbuena does him good with a leadoff single.  Not only that, but Castro follows with one of his own.  Nice.

It's early, but the Cubs look like they have their hitting gloves on. 3 hits, 1 run to push out into a first inning lead.  It's up to Garza to relish the gain.

Len just mentioned 41 yr old Henry Blanco hitting a Grand Slam to win the game for his new team the Mariners.   I will be seeing the games between the Cubs & Mariners in Seattle.........

Garza would be perfect through 4 if not for the David Wright double in the first.

Valbuena earned his money at 3rd this inning......all 3 put-outs nicely handled with very accurate bullets to 1st.  Good show Val........and Garza keeps rolling on....

Wow........Castro's bat is barking OWwwwww.....from the knocks he's putting on the ball!   2 for 3 is a giant step in the hitting department for Castro.   May that continue and continue and continue from here on out!

........sometimes I can't understand Castro's errors----especially when he has all the time in the world to make the play........where's his head?  fuck.
