So it turns out that uploading pictures directly into a MB post is not something I can figure out how to do, so I'm having to finagle things through Picasa.  Hopefully this works.  If you have no idea what any of this is about, then start here.

Like I said in the article, that's quite the deep divot.

Whoever used the bat appears to have made solid contact one or twice.

And the handle.  Notice the taping pattern and the lack of pine tar.

And that cat in the background.  His name is Jasper, and he was very puzzled as to why I was taking pictures what he really hopes is his future scratching post.

The knob is also signed.  And Jasper is annoyed that I'm not petting him so he's chosen to ignore everything.

And a better shot of the signature.  It only looks like it says Joseph.  His name is Frank.  Really.

It would stand to reason that they let him get an AB, just for the auction, but the spot he hit in was not a waste spot.  Seems more likely that someone borrowed his bat and used it for one AB, then had Frank sign it.  It would be interesting to find out what really happened.

It would be really cool if this were the bat from his one at bat (although I'd feel a little guilty about it).

FYI, you can't upload pictures to the site, they have to be linkable. As in you have to be able to enter the URL where it can be found. I use a Dropbox public folder for my personal photos that I post.

Congrats on winning the mystery bat.
