Henry to Larry Lou to BobbyV to Cherington.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ben is gone by next year unless the Sox go deep in the playoff.

Cherrington has to realize he is now fourth in the decision making order:
Henry to Larry Lou to BobbyV to Cherington.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ben is gone by next year unless the Sox go deep in the playoff.
Honestly believe that if Cherrington had half the power Theo did in Boston the whole compensation deal would have been done already. They are just trying to get something for nothing, Theo would have been gone after next year and their excuse for not extending his contract would have been the collapse this year anyway. Larry's not going anywhere his hand is stuck in Henry's pocket, and probably his front one at that!

I almost feel bad for Cherington. I would absolutely feel bad for him except that he was in the organization before this whole mess started, so he should have known what kind of tools he would be working for.
