I'll never forget that day. We had an insane straight line wind thunderstorm that blew power out all over the county for days to weeks. 110+ estimated winds. Some kind of fucked up creation because I drove over to  West Memphis and they had power. Stayed in a Ramada Limited over there for almost a week until we got power back. I got fat.

But that night of the storm, I got over to the hotel, the cubs were playing the braves, who were still on TBS back then, the hotel had it, and there was an announcement about that trade. Damn did Hendry fleece those dudes. Ahh the good ol days when the Pirates blew ass. Sigh.

I think Sergio Mitre was making his cubs debut that night too, that or the next day?
