1. Almora- Has the results, the potential, and the high floor, plus guaranteed to stay up the middle

2. Soler- Showing everything we expected and still has the insane ceiling

3. Baez- Stupid high ceiling, might have to move off SS, and then there is that K rate...

4. Bryant- Power power power, stays at 3B could easily move up (might anyway, just havent seen him in pro ball)

5. Alcantara- My personal favorite, i think he has a chance to be special at 2B

6. Johnson- Love the stuff and is getting good results
7. Vizcaino- If he can start he has top of the rotation stuff. Needs to be healthy
8. Vogelbach- Same pros, same cons. Big fella can rake
9. Blackburn- Shown good stuff and good results
10. Paniagua- Oohhhhh that stuff is electric

Dont get all the love for Lake

I have the same question as Luke does.  Do you mean future #5 starter or as of now #5 starter in majors?

Luke's list has already been posted, so I'll just add a few comments.

Baez, Soler, Bryant and Almora are all Top 50 prospects, and are close enough to each other that any order is defensible. Alcantara is clearly Top 100 and ranks fifth for me. Johnson should make some of the Top 100 lists, and ranks sixth. Vogelbach is my #7. It's quite murky after that, particularly on the pitching side.

Murky is a good way to describe the pitching side.  There are over a dozen guys I can easily imagine rising to the surface and making a splash like Hendricks did this year.  Figuring out who will, though, is tough.

So if we got Profar and he were prospect eligible, where would he slot?

Based on the comments I'm guessing 6th or 7th.

Which comments?  I would have to think he'd be at the top of the list.

Profar would be no lower than fifth, for sure.  He easily beats Alcantara.

Deciding where to slot him among the top could be rougher, but right now I lean very strongly towards making him first overall.

I agree with Luke.  It's hard to say about Bryant at this point, but Profar would almost have to be #1 I would think.  Baez and Bryant would probably have to erase some question marks at this point.

We have no sense humor.  Pissed off, bitter Cubs fans.  And you are not at all funny.
