I would offer 5yrs $125M. Anyone else agree? Would you go higher?

I would have a tough time going 5 years on a 32 year old. I wouldn't mind seeing them go 4 yrs at $100 M.

He turns 32 in June of next year. 5/$100 million wouldn't be outrageous for Sabathia. Not sure I could go up to $25 mill per.

Yeah. But thats probably ganna be the price since there is like no good SP in free agency. I'd love it if we could land him for 5/100M, but something tells me we won't.

Just imagine if the Phillies splurged to get him. We could afford him, but it would take a huge chunk of change from the money coming off the books.

He'll be 32, but his arm could be around 40. He has thrown a lot of inning, if he's not the rare, super durable type, signing him to big money, long term could be inviting disaster.
