6/17:

For 150 points:

Ten players have hit for the cycle for the Chicago Cubs (and previous iterations of the Cubs).  This player was the only one to do it twice, in 1888 and 1891.

6/18:

For 75 points:

The longest game in Cubs history, by innings, was on May 17, 1927, and was a victory over the Boston Braves.  How many innings was the game?

6/17

Cap Anson (of course I was going to guess him)

6/18

27 innings (guess much?)

1800's is not baseball.  I'm out on that one.  But if Cap Anson is EVER the right answer in one of these, that will be the day CB does not guess him.  So my only guess is that it is NOT Anson.

22 innings.

It was Jimmy Ryan, and I don't think he did it either time while the team was the Cubs.  I think they were the Colts an bleh, the White Stockings, when he did it.  (Big shout out to baseball mogul, where I spent an absurd amount of time managing the late 1800s-early 1900s Cubs teams)

King Kelly would be my 2nd guess.

They were the White Stockings at that time.

King Kelly would be my 2nd guess.

I don't think he was with the Cubs anymore by that time.

Whoa whoa whoa.  We can just guess "NOT Anson"?  I'm going to guess that it's someone who has never been in my kitchen and less than 400 innings.

Surprise, surprise, Spriggs get 22 innings right.

Correct.  The Calendar called it out as "Chicago's NL team".  I want to say 1888 was the White Stockings and 1891 was the Colts.

I'd say someone that hasn't been in my kitchen but then the answer could be my wife.
