Rope is a top Hitchcock flick, I love the pace of that film but the acting is a little weak. Notorious is a close second, another flawless Hitchcock film. What a wonderful movie. I absolutely love it. It edges Rope off the top of my favorite Hitchcock movies by the presence of Grace Kelly, who is probably the most beautiful woman who ever lived.
Hitchcocks Rear Window is my all time favorite.
If I ever had to describe the perfect women it would start and end with Grace Kelly.

Splendor In The Grass
Torn between Office Space and Clerks
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Usual Suspects
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
I can't narrow mine down since I agree with the other suggestions. I'm all over the place.

And for something a little different, my favorite Zombie movie: Shaun of The Dead.

I've never been a big fan of saving private ryan either. I can still remember watching it with my grandfather, a WWII vet from the 101st, and he laughed through half the movie and then proceeded to call it " rah rah patriotic bullshit" and I remember he thought it was incredibly unrealistic.
speaking of movies...the fact that "Shakespeare in Love" won best picture over "Saving Private Ryan"...might be biggest screwjob of all time...also "Cinderella Man" way under rated
