Would Garza and Byrd to the Yankees for Phil Hughes, Boone Logan, Jesus Montero, Eduardo Nunez be more realistic or are Yankees givingup to much?
The pitching pieces are an interesting start although Hughes has had his issues.
With Perez, the Cubs are set at shortstop, unless they think he might fit a second or third. Defense is the big quesiton.
Montero, although an amazing hitter might not have the defense for catcher. Maybe first? If DH were an option, that would increase the appeal.
One of the Yankees stud pitching prospects might interest the Cubs more, but would the Yankees consider Betances or Banuelos?

I remember how shocked I was when the Cubs signed him in 1998, and how quickly after that I loved him. Gaetti was to the 1998 Cubs as Aramis Ramirez was to the 2003 Cubs. A true clutch-hitting spark.Agree with most people in the fact that Michael Young is not the answer...I say we bring back Gary Gaetti! We need a 'stache like that on the team

Why would the Cubs want Jose Bautista right now?Harold Reynolds just made a similar trade for King Felix on MLB Network Hotstove. Kevin Millar suggested Garza and Zambrano for Jose Bautista.

I'd take Jose Bautista. He's one of the best hitters in the league, not to mention he is a natural 3B, which the Cubs need. Plus if the Cubs pulled that off and then added Pujols or Fielder we would have one of the best 1-2 hitting combos in the MLB.Why would the Cubs want Jose Bautista right now?
