If you missed it last night, the best part of the win over the Mets may have come within the first three batters of the game.
After Dexter Fowler was hit by a pitch to lead off for the Cubs, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo took care of a couple pitches from Jacob deGrom:
Each homer was a no doubter off the bat, regardless of the wind last night. The celebration in the bleachers was tremendous.
For Bryant, the homer was part of a 1-2 night with two walks, which bumped his season line from .259/.394/.370 to .265/.408/.410.
As for Rizzo, the guy just keeps on trucking. He’s hitting .327/.442/.593 with the 6th best wOBA (.442) and 7th best wRC+ (179) in baseball.
