Weekly update on the bottom ten in MLB Standings, therefore qualifying for “Protected” Rule 4 Free Agent signing next year—meaning these teams in the bottom ten of win/loss percentage would not be required to forfeit their top draft choice in the event that they sign a qualifying free agent. Cubs are now 6th worst team (whew if you want to be on the list), with 61 losses, but there are eight teams bunched with 59 or 60 losses, so this can change in a flash.

Hard to see the Cubs catching any spot higher on the list than flip flop with the Twins.

Agreed. The good news is that it's hard to see any of the teams behind the Cubs catching them over the long haul. Thanks for not selling off, Phillies/Mets/Padres/Giants/etc.

I think it would be possible to catch the Brewers, only because we have a two series left with them. I doubt we could catch anyone else.
