There have been a number of these (Tumblr, I think) sites doing the same.  I followed one on Twitter for a while, but they only linked to the page, and didn't embed the image in-line.  This one looks like they got it right.  Probably worth a follow for a while (until I get bored with the lack of novelty).

I used to subcribe to Beckett card monthly and there was a section they would do often called "fun cards" that reminds me of baseball card vandals. I had forgot about this and when I dug into my beckett collection I found the June 1990 issue

I had that.

Tell me, how much is that '89 Bowman Ken Griffey, Jr., worth?  And the Upper Deck #1?

They quit making beckett monthly any more. I asked about it and they said you can find the price of cards these days on ebay.

Hip problems, it was his hip.

It was replaced in 1991. He played for two year after the surgery, but never had the same speed. He ended up retiring during the strike.

Oh, right on. I'll check when I get home which will be about right after lunch for you. Man there was a day I could tell you everything you needed to know about baseball cards. The MLB dreams of a kid gone up in smoke

Okay, in the June 1990 issue Ken Griffey Jr. Upper deck #1- $13.50 mint and rising. The 1989 Bowman came in at $4.00 and rising.

So I got to digging around in my collection and found this tear jerker

Hmm... it must have taken a couple more years for those to skyrocket.  Memories fade.

My collecting geek sense was tingling...

The 89 Griffey is still a good card ....graded it goes for.

30

50

250

That would be as a PSA 8, 9 or 10....there are over 17,000 of them graded though ....so I would say sell...sell....sell
