It goes without saying that I am hoping the Cubs play over the deadbirds heads and do what they did to them at Busch.  THAT (again) would make my day.

...for those not watching the game:

Two fans in the stands with signs......one guy, one girl.  The guy is a Cubs fan with a sign that reads: "If the Cubs lose, we're BREAKING UP."  The girl's Cards' fan's sign reads: "If the Cards lose, we're BREAKING UP."

....wish I was next to them with my own sign; a sign that has an arrow pointing to them reading: "You should have stayed home."

Bah.

I just don't have it in me to comment on this game.  I'm plenty stoked we're winning, mind you, but there's not a lot of things to be excited about.

Know what you mean TWC, but these are the deadbirds and, for me at least, beating them is like massaging pain away.  And the way this team has played this season, that kind of relief is a nice reprieve.

EXACTLY!!  Don't care what our record is for the rest of the year, just sweep the cardinals.

Whew.....Arrieta benefits from a "suspect" out call at 2nd and some good pitching on two top hitters (Jay & Holliday).  Nice.

Just got in. See the Cubs are up 4-0. Beat the crap out of the Cards. Would make my weekend. No other team I like beating. Let's play the spoiler.

Just another reason to hate the Cardinals.  Johnson had already lost the ball and didn't have a tag so he throws the forearm shiver into Murphy.  Maybe it was an accident - maybe.  If there weren't three of those borderline cheap shot plays a game, I'd be more inclined to believe it.

Strange that for all the bunting tourney of Spring, it is successfully executed by someone who was never a part of that.  Nicely done Arrieta!

I don't believe anything they do relies on accidents.  They do the deliberate.  If they're made to look bad, the deliberate includes the ugly.  They cry when calls go against them and bean guys that show them up.
