There were questions bouncing around about how many PTBNL situations still have to be resolved so I scanned through the transactions listed on baseballreference
May 9 - Alberto Gonzalez to NYY for PTBNL or cash
Gonzalez was DFA'd cleared waivers and assigned to the minors by the Yankees.
May 10 - Drew Carpenter to COL for Future Considerations
Has since been released by the Rockies, signed and released by the Angels and signed by the A's
June 21 - Brent Lillibridge to NYY for PTBNL or cash
Like Gonzalez has been DFA'd and ultimately assigned to minors by Yankees.
June 22 - Hisanori Takahashi to COL for PTBNL
Appears to still be with the Rockies in AAA, cash was not listed on this one, hard to imagine what value a 38 year old reliever who can't stick in the bigs has.
July 8 - Scott Hairston and a PTBNL and cash to WAS for Ivan Pinyero and PTBNL
I forgot about the pending PTBNL swap with this one, Hairston is the first on the list to be still in the show, up to this point I believe that makes him the tallest midget.
July 22 - Matt Garza to TEX for Mike Olt, C.J. Edwards, Justin Grimm and 1 or 2 PTBNL
Here's a quote from mlbtraderumors about these PTBNL
"Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports (via Twitter) that the Cubs can select right-hander Neil Ramirez as the PTBNL in the deal. However, if the Cubs select Ramirez, they will not receive a second PTBNL. Otherwise, they can select two other pitchers from the agreed upon list of names."
All I could find on Ramirez was that he was supposed to throw 30-45 pitches in a bullpen session in Round Rock. It seems like the Cubs want him if he's healthy, but have concerns about his shoulder.
*EDIT* I looked more and it turns out he's had 3 appearances this month for Texas' AA affiliate
July 26 - Guillermo Moscoso to SFG received PTBNL or cash
Moscoso is in the Giants pen as a spot starter, long relief option
Today - David DeJesus to WAS for PTBNL
Speculation abounds - too bad DDJ isn't in the lineup tonight, I'm guessing he'll get a start in one of the games or at least a couple of ABs.
I'm not sure how these things sort out, but I can't imagine there is a lot of return, if anything other than cash coming from the top of that list. I'd imagine something decent for Moscoso and DeJesus, plus 1 quality arm if Ramirez is OK or two lesser but likely solid prospects from the Rangers.
