Can someone tell Dale it's okay to play relievers longer than one measly inning?

Not exactly a 'top 10,' but one of the things he does that annoys me as a manager.

So you would've preferred Villanueva to bat for himself in the 5th?

Apparently, the one thing Soriano passed on to Castro as his mentor was his inability to recognize a low and outside pitch with two strikes.

Castro's woes continue.  I feel for him.  The harder he tries in his at bats, the more he fails.  But..........at least this inning the Nats' pitcher struck out the side.  Is there any solace to be taken from that by Castro?  Probably not.

If were talking the 7th or 8th inning, then no.  Were talking about the last out of the 5th inning after the starter got chased in the 4th.  I would have left Villy in for long relief till the 7th or 8th, and not have to use Russell (is he even available tonight?) for the thousandth time.

It's easy to play revisionist history as Colin Gillespie showed up for his one of 25 at bats for a hit and kept the inning alive with a run.

In general, I dont like how Sveum caps his relief pitchers at 1 inning.

HUH?   Did Len just say Pie was with the Pirates?  I thought he just got lost in Siberia somewhere.

No way the Cubs rack up 5 more runs..............sorry, but my pessimism just won't allow some positives thoughts in.
