Is there somewhere you can go to find what a catchers pop time is? Reason I'm asking is; Austin Hedges was clocked at 1.74, which is absoutely ridiculous, and I wanted to compare him to the likes of Yadi and even Welington Castillo. I'd love to be able to see a comparison between all the catchers in the league and know what league average would be. At the UA game this Saturday, we timed a kid at 1.9. Which, for high school, is really good. I'd like to know how that would hold up in the majors, because my gut is telling me that wouldn't cut it.

This is the best I could find. I'm not an Insider, so I can't view the listing.

Dang, I'm not an insider either. Thanks for finding it though.

The fastest according the the article is Molina and a couple others at 1.87. The other end of the spectrum has John Jaso and Josh Thole at 1.98 average.

Ahhhh man, I was really hoping this would be a thread about debating the virtues of calling sugary, carbonated beverages 'pop'.

Is that a 1.87 average? No way that's the fastest individual time...

Hansman - sorry man. We'll keep that idea for a rainy day.. haha.
