The Chicago Cubs may have just three World Series titles to the Cardinals’ eleven, but the Cubs have one huge advantage in the decades long rivalry: their’s happened most recently.

The proverbial ball is now in the Cardinals’ figurative court, so to speak (annoyingly).
The rivalry is still strong but for the first time in a long time, it’s the Cardinals chasing the Cubs for superiority. The fans are trying their best to resist.

At Yahoo Sports, Mark Townsend shares and discusses the newest shirt available for those fans in St. Louis (via Joe Sports Fan blog):
A new shirt is urging Cardinals fans to 'resist' the Cubs' World Series win. #NotMyWorldChamps https://t.co/sZvwUDPsDd pic.twitter.com/lH0LDMMSNQ

You can buy the shirt here, and get this: it’s on sale for $19.08 – naturally.

Here’s the message, that accompanies/sells the shirt:
Welcome to the resistance. The Chicago Cubs are NOT my 2016 World Champions.
We are strong. We are united. We are clothed in a delicious blend of cotton and polyester sure to make friends jealous on Opening Day as the 11-time World Champion St. Louis Cardinals take the field against a team that hasn’t won one in over a century. Sad!
RESIST!
I have to say, despite my devotion to the Cubs and hatred of the Cardinals, that is one clever product. I’ll bet they sell quite a few of those bad boys.
