The Chicago Bears have signed three of the five players selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, with safety Eddie Jackson being the latest.
Jackson was a fourth-round pick (112th overall) out of Alabama, where he was a four-year contributor who made the transition from cornerback to a second-team All-American safety in 2015. Jackson came up with six of his nine career interceptions in 2015, but had an injury-shortened 2016 because of a broken leg.
On May 11, the Bears signed running back Tarik Cohen and offensive lineman Jordan Morgan to four-year contracts. Cohen was a fourth-round selection picked 119th overall, while Morgan was chosen in the fifth round with pick No. 147.
The only draft picks who remain unsigned are quarterback Mitch Trubisky and tight end Adam Shaheen, who participated in the Bears’ weekend rookie mini-camp despite being unsigned.
