Well after the winter meetings we are starting to see the "theo-logy" of the new Chicago Cubs. So here are a few theo-logical beliefs that I'm noticing:
  • Never leak any news. Always remain silent about what you are thinking, planning, or doing until it is official.
  • Set a limit and stick to it. Never engaging in a bidding war that pushes you beyond your limits.
Curious what other theo-logical beliefs that everyone has noticed.

And of course what would a theological discussion be without Snoopy

3. Surround yourself with smart people, always stress that no "one person" will win a title.

4. You have a considerable ego, but hide it behind steadfast deflection and self deprecation.

sounds like a "self-help" book

I'm sure a book will be published called Theo-logy and this is my proof that I said it first and they will have to give me compensation.

5. If you can get a good player after a down year, that's the time to get him ie David DeJesus, Ian Stewart.

I love Snoopy. He's never had a down year.

Create a plan and stick to it, don't flip the 5-year plan every year.
