Okay, Mooney just said that Travis Wood might be the opening day starter next year. I know that he's been the "best starter" on the team this year, but, I mean, no, right?

Talking about opening day anything is silly until spring training.  Who know what moves might be made over the offseason, and what injuries might prevent someone from being ready week one. If I had to guess right now though, it be Samardzija.

Well, yeah, obviously. That wasn't my point. I'm not trying to project anything, I'm just saying that between him and Shark it obviously goes to Shark, doesn't it?

I'd go with Shark because he has a greater chance of having dominate in a start than Wood.  Wood is more consistent but I put the chances of him leaving with 10+ K a lot lower then Shark.

Saw the same thing. Must not be much to report from Cub's Camp. I guess he must have been told to come up with something. Not so sure I'd be flattered at the speculation if I was the one pulling the strings at Command Central.
