Woke up, yawned, scratched, cracked a beer, pounded half, ran his fingers through whatever sprigs of hair still left on his pate, brushed teeth, swished with the remaining half of the beer, threw on the clothes still laying in a heap at the foot of his bed, stumbled out the door, walked to the car, realized he forgot his keys, went back to the house, discovered he had locked himself out, walked around to the back door, found that it was locked too, walked to the side of the garage, jimmied open the window that never locks quite right, squeezed through, slipped, knocked over the gas can next to the lawn mower that hasn't seen action all summer, tossed some newspaper from the recycling bin on top of the gas, laying on top was the back page of the sports section that he forgot to read last night before passing out, picked it up, walked into the living room, grabbing a beer on the way, plopped down on the La-Z-Boy, raised the footrest up, kicked off his shoes, took a swig and put his beer down othe coffee table, inadvertently setting it on his keys, the beer falls over, MG realizes with a start, "oh, shit, keys!", grabs his shoes and keys, runs back out the front door, starts the car, sees that there's only a sliver of gas left in the tank, does the "hmm... do I ~really~ need to stop on the way to work?" game, sets his half-spilled beer in the cupholder, backs out of the driveway (not without running over his daughter's scooter in the process), and sets course to enlighten the impressionable minds of Michigan's youth.
And that was only the first fifteen minutes of his day!

He's an English teacher. I'm trying to impress him.
I am amused and will have to retort on the next off day... The gas and key thing is actually fairly accurate.
