at risk of sounding stupid, who is dougy d?

If only for his intransigence, we could have this sort of Spriggs' brilliance in our Twitter timelines.

*sigh*

Hey, was the other guy Gary Woods. Remember this song that Jody Davis, Durham, Moreland, Gary Woods and Rick Sutcliffe recorded? Since the quote problems just cropped again, I doubt if the link is good, but it's a great piece!

Oh holy crap I had forgotten all about this.

Amazing.

Yup, the Official Answer is Gary Woods and Doug Dascenzo. Upon closer review of The Calendar, it is not wrong: "Two Cubs outfielders have fielded flawlessly over a season in which they played in 100 or more games. Gary Woods did so in 1982 and Doug Dascenzo pulled it off in 1990." It just chose not to tell you about Pierre in 2006.

Who remembers when Dougy D. got nailed in the back by Rob Dibble while running up the first baseline after a bunt?

You better Dance, you better live, you better love with a sweet romance. While you still have the chance, I think you better Dance.

Dibble threw at him on purpose! That was awesome!

Plus the Calendar no doubt understands that Pierre's weak arm carried the equivalence of about 45 errors.

I don't know what that means (though it is my middle name!), but it's stinging me pretty fucking hard.

Yes, and I had forgotten that it was Dougy D, but it definitely was. Dibble really lost it. Would love to see the clip.

It was the same game that Dawson freaked out and threw all the bats out of the dugout! This WGN news clip focused on that, but it does show a terrible replay of the Dibble - Dougy D play too.

Holy Cow, the shirt the sports reporter is wearing.

From the headline I'd guess Campana but I don't think he ever got in 100 games.

For my guesses: Colvin and Murton (no really clue)

Colvin is a bit of a stab in the dark isn't it?

I checked on Colvin and saw that he was a poor choice.  Murton turned out not to be bad guess though.

Some people just don't get the point.

You referring to Colvin getting stabbed with the bat?

Yes. Too soon?

Nope, just took me awhile to get it
