Seriously, what team can't get it's shit together and lose the right way.  The Calendar says: "Go blow a goat, Cardinals".

Who turned the first unassisted triple play in Cubs history?  Bonus points: What year did it occur?

Well after that.  About 20 years.

I guess it could be done with a swinging strike three with the ball in the dirt with the bases loaded.

It was not me.

With the clue making it around 1926 - I will guess their 2nd baseman "Sparky" Adams.  They might have had Rabbit Maranville at SS for a year or two about then.  What a scrappy keystone combo that would have been.  Maranville is about the least deserving member of the HOF.

No to all of this.

He played SS during this game.

I've never heard of this guy.  Interesting that it took almost 70 years for another unassisted triple play in the NL.

I give.  That's a tough era... right before they started to get good again.  I can't think of a SS (before English or Jurges).
