Durham?  Maybe Buckner.  Hmm.  Let's see… Durham was still in right while Buckner was there.  He moved to 1B next year ('83), when Buckner left?  Wait, no.  Buckner was there in '83, I remember his baseball card, the first set of cards I received.  So it was probably, definitely Bill Buckner.  Or Leon Durham.  ::shrug::  Everyone else on that team sucked.

No love for Jody Davis? That was also Sandberg's first year with the club.

 

 

 

That was Jody Davis' "career year", wasn't it?  He was fine, but still pretty meh.  And Sandberg sucked ass that year -- it wasn't until '84 that he was significantly better than, say, Darwin Barney.
