Long-time slugger Manny Ramirez is not quite ready to hang ’em up. And although there haven’t been any MLB opportunities for the 44-year-old in quite a few years, he’s played here and there in winter leagues and the minor leagues.
This year, Ramirez is playing in Japan, and he kicked off his season tonight in a way completely befitting Manny being Manny. He finds left field for a single at about the 1:40 mark in this video, which is all well and good, but it’s what he does upon reaching first base than you’re going to want to see:

Even in Japan, even at age 44, Manny Ramirez is going to have some fun when he kicks things off with a single. Dance like nobody’s watching, right?
Also, his uniform is “Manny 99.” That’s fantastic.
