My wife just iChats me to let me know that my son still hasn't gotten out of his pajamas, and has spent his morning building some Legos, then ate some lunch, and is now laying in his bed reading Calvin & Hobbes.

*sigh* Being 5 is tough.

I'm taking off a whole ton of time over the holidays, but it doesn't start until Friday at noon. Feels like hours are passing between the minutes. If I even get one day of pajama-wearing, Lego-building, Calvin-&-Hobbes-reading fun, I'm gonna be ecstatic.

Just needed to share, as my coworkers most certainly don't give a shit.

Ha! Well, give a shit or not, at least you're not tired of me ranting (yet) about how all I want to do for 11 days is build Lego stuff with my son.

I have one final tomorrow and then I'm off for almost three weeks. I will be pajama wearing, lego building, calvin-&-hobbes reading by friday morning, and I might even have some peanut butter and jelly for lunch.

Back in my day, we never got time off, worked 8 days a week 34 hours a day - AND WE LIKED IT! Dang, kids these days with their Lego and Jelly Sandwhiches - back in my day we ate dirt when we could afford it - AND WE LIKED IT!

Although, back in my day the Cubs were perennial World Series contenders.

Friday is the last day we are open for over a week at the shop. I would be spending my time ice fishing and sleigh ridding with the kids but the weather in Iowa sucks this year. But we do have legos! Merry Christmas!

Wooooooooo!!!!!!! Final finished. It's officially break time.

I am extremely pissed about my final though. The haggard lady that speaks in front of the class from time to time put a lot of stuff on the final that wasn't in our study guides, and then had the audacity to tell us before the test that there were no surprises or curveballs.

You taking BN's b-day off?

Nah - that's the kind of holiday where you HAVE to post.

I'm going to try and take of Saturday and Sunday, unless hard news or a way-too-juicy-to-wait rumor comes up.
